Availability: 5 in stock

Platycerium Netherlands is a striking Staghorn Fern with distinctive antler-shaped green fronds that create a bold, sculptural display. Unlike traditional ferns, its unusual growth habit gives it a dramatic architectural appearance while still bringing soft, natural greenery into indoor spaces.

Naturally epiphytic, Staghorn Ferns grow attached to trees rather than in soil in their natural habitat. This makes Platycerium Netherlands particularly well suited to mounting on timber or displaying in a pot while young, adding character and interest to bright indoor spaces and sheltered patios.

Water: Water thoroughly when the growing medium begins to dry. Allow excess water to drain freely and avoid keeping the plant constantly wet.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity with good airflow.
Temperature: Best between 18–28°C. Protect from frost and cold drafts.
Soil: Use a loose, airy growing medium suitable for epiphytic plants. Sphagnum moss and chunky bark work particularly well.
Feeding: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted balanced fertiliser.
