Aroid Mix is a specialised chunky growing medium designed to provide the excellent drainage, airflow and root aeration that aroids need to thrive. Unlike conventional potting soil, this Aroid Mix has an open, coarse structure that allows oxygen to circulate around the root system while still retaining enough moisture to support healthy growth.
It is ideal for popular aroids including Philodendron, Monstera, Anthurium, Alocasia, Epipremnum and Rhaphidophora. These plants naturally perform best in loose, well-aerated growing media rather than dense soil that remains wet around their roots.

How to use
Use the mix on its own when potting or repotting suitable aroids. Gently remove excess old growing medium from the roots, position the plant in its new container and fill around the root system with fresh mix.
Water thoroughly after repotting and allow excess water to drain freely. Always use a container with adequate drainage holes.
Because this is a chunky, fast-draining medium, watering frequency may differ from plants grown in conventional potting soil. Check the moisture level of the mix rather than watering according to a fixed schedule.
